Jazz groups shine in low key Lamont concert

On what was a cold, snowy winter evening, the small jazz group ensembles of the Lamont School of Music at DU most certainly brought the heat to a short but sweet concert on Friday, Feb. 7.

Performing to a crowd of about 40 people in the Newman Center’s first-floor Williams Recital Salon, both ensembles performed three pieces, featuring a mix of original compositions and new arrangements of existing jazz songs.

I really enjoyed reading this– I felt like I was experiencing the performance as it unfolded. I also got to learn about a group at DU that I didn’t know existed! This story had a very warm and inviting tone and I think you did a nice job.
